honestly are the 90mm guns really completely finished? sad to see them go, they are so much more powerful than the 73mm

They probably don't have the ammo for them. Logistically, I guess it is easier to use the same gun as the BMP1 since we probably have lots of ammo for those

Also gun barrels need replacement after a certain number of rounds that can be anywhere from several hundred to a few thousand rounds. If Iraq doesn't have access to new barrels the guns become useless with time.

really? replacing quad 23mm by twin? I honestly don't see the point of them bothering with this thing.

Could that be because the original quad guns had a very high rate of fire that was not so practical for ground combat?
