Thanks Raaft!

Re: TU22 Blinder in the Iraqi Air Force
Ah, now I see! Thanks for your patient explanation (the Arabic translations by Google are really a mess...).
Can you tell me if you know how many Tu-16s (and H-6Ds) and how many Tu-22s were still operational as of 1989 (or how many have you seen)?
Bellow are some photos of the (sad) wreckage of the Tu-22B with serial number "1114", shot at al-Taqaddum AB, back in March 2006, and then some showing two of its principal - Iraqi-made - weapons: Nassr-5 (an Iraqi-made FAB-5000 bomb, calibre 5000kg), and Nassr-9 (an Iraqi-made FAB-9000 bomb, calibre 9000kg).
"Funny" is that the Soviets denied exports of such weapons to Iraq after their deployment against the "Kurdish" (see "Iranian") insurgency in northern Iraq, in 1974-1975, and though the IrAF thus couldn't deploy any such weapons from its Tu-16s.

Here also a reconstruction of the left-hand side of the same aircraft (I recalled its serial wrongly before; the correct serial was "1113").

Re: TU22 Blinder in the Iraqi Air Force
iqhawk. the Nasr9 and Nasr5 were normal high explosive bombs. Iraq's FAE bombs were smaller.
Re: TU22 Blinder in the Iraqi Air Force
