Iraq to receive 6 South Korean fighter jets by year’s end
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Iraq will receive a new batch of South Korean fighter jets by the end of 2018 as per a contract signed in 2013, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry said Iraqi ambassador to South Korea, Haider Shayya al-Barak, visited the headquarter of the manufacturing company, KAI, to follow up on the execution of the contract for T-50 IQ fighter jets.
According to the statement, Iraq had already received two batches, six fighters each, and a third batch with the same number is expected by the end of the current year.
The contract involves the purchase of 24 aircraft.
T-50s entered service in the South Korean forces in 2005. The fighter is worth USD21 million. It will join Iraq’s fleet of U.S. F-16, Russian Sukhoi and Czech fighters.

ah. that's interesting. so there's already 12 planes in Iraq? and 18 by year end!

It looks like the second batch of 6 T50IQ did not arrive in Iraq until yesterday, May 3rd, 2018. So, 12 units have been delivered so far:

Iraq receives new batch of T-50 fighter jets from South Korea: Ministry
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Iraq has received a new batch of South Korean fighter jets, the Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
A statement by the Security Media Center said “a new batch of T-50, formed of six fighter jets, has arrived.”
A previously-signed contract between each of South Korea and Iraq stated providing the latter with 24 T-50 IQ fighter jets. Two batches has already arrived.
Signed in 2013, the contract stipulated that delivering the jets would start in April 2016, however, the delivery was delayed without clarification from the ministry.
The cost of a T-50 jet would reach around US$21 million.

أعلنت قيادة القوة الجوية العراقية، الثلاثاء، تسلمها الدفعة الثانية من طائرات
"T50" الكورية.
وقالت القيادة في بيان مقتضب تلقت السومرية نيوز نسخة منه، إنها "تسلمت الدفعة الثانية من طائرات
T50 بعدد 6 طائرات".
وكان قائد القوة الجوية الفريق الركن أنور حمه أمين أكد، في وقت سابق، أن طائرات الـ
T50
المقاتلة تعتبر من الطائرات الحديثة جداً حيث تمتلك أجهزة دقيقة ومعدات استطلاع وأسلحة تصويب غاية في الدقة.
